I haven't traveled internationally with my drone, but I have thought about it.
The main concerns:
- You must keep the drone, controller, and all batteries in your *CARRY ON LUGGAGE*. No Lithium batteries in checked bags
- Check the local laws where you are planning to fly it. Make sure you have any necessary registrations, permits, insurance, and respect their restricted flight areas.
- Make sure to practice similar types of shots you plan to take before you travel - if you aren't well experienced, the likelihood of you attempting things beyond your skill level and crashing are high
- Always make sure your drone has acquired GPS *BEFORE YOU TAKE OFF*. If the drone realizes it is in a no-fly zone a minute after it's already been flying, and it's now over water, it will immediately land ... in water ...
- Bring plenty of storage. 4K Video at 100+Mbps will quickly eat through your storage, and when you are traveling internationally, your ability to upload or edit will likely be reduced.
