I have an update on the blocking of UA biz awards.

United business awards on LifeMiles were blocked for the last 2+ months. There appears to be good news about that. I see United business awards back on LifeMiles starting January 1st.


My guess on this is that LifeMiles has some quota of business awards they can issue on United for the calendar year and they used up that quota by mid October this year, resulting in an almost complete block of United business awards for the last 2+ months (I did see one day with an award). The evidence to support this theory is that through the end of this year LifeMiles is still blocking UA biz awards but starting Jan. 1 they are back. Obviously there is good news and bad news here. The good news is that LifeMiles seems to have access to UA biz awards from 1/1/25. The bad news is once they run out of their quota for next year we may see those awards to disappear again through the end of the year.
