When the challenge was first announced, it felt almost like a scene straight out of Pepsi, Where's My Jet?. I couldn't believe there was no disclaimer or any significant limitations to the promotion. Aside from a vague clause about abusive behavior, the terms seemed unusually open-ended.

I’m not overly concerned about the mass hysteria some influencers may have generated in countries like Korea or Taiwan (strong passports). That's because even for a seasoned traveler, scheduling 15 flights is a logistical nightmare.
I refuse to believe that casual participants could blindly follow an influencer and actually pull it off.

And yet I keep wondering, WTH was SAS thinking ? It's 2024 and there are roughly 40 million digital nomads worldwide who are used to travel and relocate frequently and could easily take advantage of this kind of promotion. With minimal additional costs.

While I'm not fully remote myself, I found myself in the fortunate position of already having a packed travel schedule for the last few months of 2024. I had two work trips planned—one to Denmark and another to Greece—as well as two holiday trips to Mexico and Vietnam. With that in place, it was relatively easy to add a few extra flying days just to complete the challenge.
This challenge may be impossible for some to complete, but it's far too easy for others given how straightforward it is, I really think most people would not even feel the need to discuss it on social media or specialized forums.
Even imaginary issues like whether it will be valid to fly AR are complete non-sense (of course it will be duly counted, otherwise imagine all the lawsuits and the image damage...)

It may not happen in the end but this had the potential to be another "Pepsi Number Fever" incident in which everyone wins and so there is no reward anymore.
