The answer to your question is yes. Q12 on the FAQ, bookings (hotel or car or any combination) do not need to be consecutive. You could rent a car (or stay in a hotel or a mixture of both) in 5 different locations for one night each time. Obviously the car hire or hotel booking must be made in the same reservation as the BA Holiday flights.
