Greetings from new airport Number 8 for the year: MHT (technically earned when I flew into MHT on Sunday).
Waiting on the flight out and not looking forward to the weather that awaits back in Ohio (not that the weather has great here - cold & rain / freezing rain during my trip to NH). I did drive over to Vermont on the day I flew in and got some snacks so I was able to also cross off State #49. Only North Dakota remains!
My CRJ-900 at the gate at MHT
Proof of making it to Vermont, even if only for a short bit to get some food and then turn around and head back to New Hampshire.

The AvGeek way to mitigate this would be to fly SEA-YVR the day before and stay overnight at the YVR Fairmont with a ramp/runway view room.
I'm guessing you're experienced enough to know to do these things but when doing this
1) Print off a copy of the DL Through Check Baggage Policy page from Delta Pro in case an agent pushes back or denies this being policy
2) Have a printed copy of your KLM ticket to make it easy for the agent to reference and enter the required info to tag it through
3) Visually confirm that the destination on the bag tag is DUB
Also, if you don't have them already, AirTags are a wise investment. I did the DL to KLM bag-tag exercise last summer going to Poland, CVG-JFK on DL and then JFK-AMS-KRK on KLM. For whatever reason, our bags did not transfer at JFK (I know I'm giving
kipper anxiety by sharing this). After arriving at KRK and trying to work with lost luggage and such and including false information, such as them telling me the bag was loaded onto a flight to AMS but my AirTag had pinged in the last couple minutes at JFK, and them then realizing that no, the bag was not loaded but they had no idea where it was, it was nice to be able to tell them "It's at gate BXX at Terminal 4 at JFK" and then I was able to track once it did arrive into AMS and then onward to KRK. My wife's bag took about 24 hours to catch up and my bag took 2 days. Fortunately I had enough clothes in the carryon to get me through those two days. Lessons were learned for the rest of the trip and we again had bag issues with TAP Portugal later in the trip and while my bag arrived, Mrs. ATOBTTR's bag took 3 days to catch up to us in Spain. All-in-all not a fun trip as far as baggage went.
