We had a very nice 1 night stay here recently. This is one of the "suite ineligible" properties so we couldn't use an award prior to our stay. We were upgraded to a very large 1-bedroom suite when we arrived without using the award. The location is next to the Central Station and one can stay indoors most of the way from the train to the hotel, which was helpful in the rain. Our main purpose for visiting Antwerp was the Christmas markets. They were a pleasant 20-minute walk from the hotel.

I found this property was much better than I expected, knowing it was a Cat 1. There wasn't much comparison to most Cat 1s, at least those in the US. The hard product was in very good condition, and everything worked as it should. The breakfast buffet was very nice, with lots of choices, and vastly superior to what one sees at HPs and HHs, the usual Cat 1s in the US.

I'd definitely return if I needed to be in Antwerp again, although I wouldn't be surprised if this property moved up a category at the next devaluation.
