Can I use D1 check in and security when I'm arriving to JFK from LHR in Virgin upper class, continuing with Delta to BNA? Domestic first class with Delta if relevant.

I didn't get any answers in the D1 club thread before, so I try this dedicated thread aswell if someone might know how to interpret the rules around this, or even have any data points...
