I love the aggressive approach… but I think the ICN flight is going to struggle and DL will flight pretty hard on that one. The Delta One suites on the 339 are in a different league than the current HA J seats, plus they have the 4 class config with the Select Premium seats. This is typically a 12 hour flight westbound, so seats and service matter. I take this flight often (actually pushing back from ICN headed to Seattle as I type this) and it is hard to see how AS can compete against the KE/DL operation. A significant amount of the traffic on the SEA-ICN is connecting in KE further into Asia, and AS/OW doesn’t have that from ICN. The one thing I am looking forward to are the price wars on the route, as J has really creeped up in price this year.
