Fares for one-way flight from DELHI->SAN-FRANCISCO too high at around $2000
I was trying to book a return ticket 1-way around the 1st week of Jan from Delhi->SF.
I can't find a ticket that's less than 1.5k anywhere.
Sometimes tickets (Economy class) that show prices of around $1000 on Google.com/flights search or SkyScanner.com show higher prices as high as $3k when trying to actually book them.

Even though one expects higher price around early-Jan, this seems exorbitant.
What's going on, is this usual?
How to find the reasonable price on such a ticket around Jan2-5?
