So much errors in that sentence. Excluding Covid times, we've always had more than 2 flights or more. Currently, JL, NH and DL operates flights to Tokyo. Before that UA and AA has also operated Tokyo flights. At peak summer times, NW would operate two flights to Narita. I believe NW, which is now DL, is the longest running operator of flights to Tokyo from Seattle

AS's CEO told the Air Show podcast that SEA-NRT is replacing HA's HNL-NRT flight (so HA will no longer serve NRT from HNL).
If and when Japan to Hawaii market returns to prior levels, I predict HA will operate both SEA and HNL from NRT.
