I am thinking about doing a mileage run to Israel in the beginning of 2025 and have a few questions. Would be my first time in Israel.

(1) How bad is Shabbat? I understand everything will be closed and most public transport will not run. Do trains from the airport run on Saturday? Do taxis/Uber cars run on Saturday? And will shops, restaurants and public transport reopen after sunset on a Saturday, or only the next day?

(2) Are there any restrictions on tourism, assuming the war in Gaza continues into 2025? I would love to visit Jerusalem and the Dead Sea.

(3) Is the Dead Sea best visited from the Israeli or the Jordanian side?

(4) Any other "must see" attractions in Israel apart from Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and Yad Vashem?
