- Breakfast on busy weekend mornings is a colossal .... show. We sat down after a ~10 min wait, and a line probably 30+ parties deep formed shortly afterwards.
- Make sure the waiter knows you're a globalist. They didn't ask, and the checkout person got very flustered that they didn't change my ticket type.
- Rooms in the new (Ipanema) tower were spacious and fairly nice. They felt new, and while not over the top nice, it exceeded my expectation for an off-strip hotel.
I also just stayed for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and decor of the room. Valet parking was free (huge surprise) and very convenient. I stayed together with my son, who was on a totally different time schedule from me, like me breakfast at 7 am, him breakfast at 12 pm. The hotel couldn't accommodate this. Breakfast only, when Globalist is present with ID. I have never experienced this at any other Hyatt property before. I guess we have to thank all the people exploiting the Globalist breakfast in the early days when the Rio became a Hyatt.
