Maybe Alaska Airlines need to first figure out the IT problem.
I can't purchase any business class ticket on the new flights because AS lists class codes for both first and business class on the new flights to Tokyo Narita. Alaska's website just get super confused and Hawaiian system can't recognize these new flights, or don't know how to confirm these flights properly.

Honestly I think those Boeing 787-9s are certainly going to be used on the future flights to Bangkok and Manila. These Airbus A330-200s can only go as far as Seoul from Seattle. Unless Alaska wants to really price these flights significantly lower than other Asian Airlines, they urgently need to revamp these Airbus A330 cabin too, before expanding further. I will do it for inaugural flights, but unless Alaska really sells those premium seats cheaply, I have no interests to fly these Hawaiian A330s on these 8-12 hours flight. Maybe they need to think about a premium economy cabin now, since they no longer just focus on leisure routes now. Delta offers a suite type seats with direct aisle access business class, a proper premium economy class, and an economy cabin with a good section of comfort plus seats. Alaska needs to step up, if they even want to compete with Delta on these international flights. For Hawaii to Japan routes, Hawaiian product is sufficient, but for a more serious Seattle to Asia flights, Hawaiian product is simply insufficient in all cabin classes in both cabins. I wonder if Hawaiian's Airbus A330 galley can handle two hot meals. It is no longer acceptable to do one hot meal and one snack bag in coach. For NRT to SEA, they have to serve two hot meals in both cabin, along with some kinds of packaged snacks and bottled waters.
