I had a return flight to Dublin over the weekend. Flight BA834 10:35 LHR > DUB on Saturday was cancelled due to Storm Darragh and I phoned the Exec Line and was rebooked on BA5973 with Aer Lingus for 19:30 same day (which arrived 1:56 late).
I returned yesterday (Monday) on BA837 16:00 DUB > LHR which arrived 3:04 late and is the flight I intend to claim via EC/261 (incoming plane G-TNEC had a tyre replaced, issues with engine / AC generator and slow loading due to bus gate).

My question is, should I even mention the outgoing flight when I make the claim or is there little point as it’s excluded due to the storm?
