I read the MGM match backwards, MGM plat matches to Marriott Gold.
For the $100 Celebration dinner my wife and I never had to earn the 100TC when we matched from Wyndham.
I'm not sure exactly how it works except a friend of mine had to earn the 100TC and did but the dinner never posted before he left Vegas.
As I figured it's (FC) not worth my time as we will most likely get resort fees waived at checkout.
