Tho i could be wrong, I dont believe Alaska get meal catered at every city it serves. At some cities, meals are carried by inbound aircraft.

My instance might be an isolated resolution but when my flight got cancelled after an inbound aircraft arrived at my city, my understanding is that the carried meal became no longer viable. Recovery/rebooked flight ended up with no meal as “travel” took priority over inflight meal.
