I have a rather complex issue. I’ll be flying the return leg of a ticket later this month: JFK - CDG - DUB. However my plans have now suddenly changed and I need to be in BCN instead of DUB. I have purchased a separate ticket from CDG - BCN with AF. My plan is to fly to CDG and then not take the flight to DUB, instead taking my flight to BCN. All of these routes are in business.

Is there any hope that AF at JFK would allow me
to check bags to BCN rather than to DUB if I present them with my new ticket?
