There's a small hawker center about a 5 min walk, but only has 5-6 vendors. A few more within 10 minutes. Just depends on what you want. The courtyard has a larger selection of hawkers within a similar distance, but not many air-conditioned sit-down restaurants like Gurney Paragon or Gurney Plaza.

There's rarely a reason to walk when Grab rides are so inexpensive. The only place I found compelling to walk to was a dim-sum place about a km from the Courtyard, a little bit closer than Marriott to Gurney Paragon.
