I am planning to buy separate award tickets for my TK flights connecting at IST in business class because seats on one flight are available in promo award and there is no promo seat available on the other flight. So the total miles and taxes amount drop considerably if I book separate tickets as I can book promo award for one flight and regular award for the other flight. Actually, the first flight will be regular award seat and connecting flight will be promo award.

During checkin at origin airport will TK consider through checkin? Any other issues that I need to consider?
