Indeed, that flight was just over 14hrs and a half and that was all we got. Popped to the club kitchen a couple of times where you could fill yourself up on crisps, solitary biscuits or Lindt truffles. There was fruit salad in the fridge too but none of the sandwiches or cakes mentioned in club kitchen elsewhere. The flight out had some leftover cheese boards in there but none on way back. Only one crew member playing cards in the galley between services, so have to go up request any additional drinks outside meal service too. Think they count on most people sleeping the 10hrs between meals, glad I filled up in the lounge.
With the longer routings, it shows up a real blind spot in BA’s catering. There are trashy junk food type between-meal treats, but nothing bearing any kind of balanced nutritional value or being filling, which are desperately needed on sectors of this length. Heaven forbid IAG permits the same feeblest attempt at dine on demand as IB does, which does not have sectors of the same length, why not BA… Presumably zero based budgeting!
