I'm looking for some real-world advice or experience on this subject before I book.

I'm looking at an ANA itinerary from ITM-NRT-LAX all on the same ticket (flying with my spouse). It would be Y on the domestic leg and I in international with the domestic flight arriving at 3:40pm and international departing at 5pm.

It looks from what I've read elsewhere that my bags can be checked in at ITM all the way through so then my only job is to make it through immigration as I would remain airside.

​​​Is there another security check or just immigration only?

Would 80 minutes be enough to make this connection assuming the domestic flight is on time?
