If this is a status challenge, 20K BIS miles on AS metal are required. Class of service bonuses do not count. If that is the case for the OP, HA & AA flights won't count.

This is indeed a status challenge, MVP Gold 75k for 20,000 EQMs in 3 months, which seems very reasonable. Coming from Delta after last year’s SkyMiles devaluation.
I do see some reasonable LAX-HNL (with layovers) availability in January. Will continue to look, thanks again.
