It would be nice if some of these new 789s make their way west. I am flying to Oz later this month and have noticed that the 789s making those long runs are starting to get canceled a bit more frequently than they used to.

AFAIK there are no 789 subfleets or exclusive bases, and all 789s rotate through the entire network, so it will be a matter of luck which frame (and what MX history it has) is assigned to any given flight.
