Yes, I suspect it's BA396 that's done this, since that LHR-BRU service is cancelled. And the later service, BA398 is now full, thanks to all those point to point passengers moved to that service. If the OP particularly wants to stay on BA then that should be possible, if they are OK to sort out their own travel to Brussels, e.g. the Eurostar - BA will almost certainly pick up the bill for that.
