I don’t even consider the HPLV when looking for stays. HP overall just not a great brand. It’s workable for large corporate travel on a budget, or long term budget corporate travel, but other than that not good. There are a few HP properties that I’d say I have a 95% chance of getting a suite upgrade at (based on experience at those specific properties even though it’s not required through Hyatt benefits) and even then it’s a pain to choose to stay there. For some reason every single HP bed I’ve slept in has left my wife and I in pain the next morning, just not comfortable. Hyatt House generally has comfortable beds, just not Hyatt Place.

Only way you’d get me to stay at HPLV is $30 Room Rate + Rio’s Rates are outrageous ($100+ Base Rate), + good quarterly or targeted promo running.
