Many people have got G or GGL from BAH in ways that clearly weren't in the original BA playbook, athough still within the rules.
Whether the promotion is continued will not depend on the edge case people doing these things, it will depend on whether it still makes economic sense to BA in the broader sense.
The point is that what is being proposed is "gaming the system" outside the rules. The people on this forum wouldn't advise how to hack in and steal Avios, or how to sneak into the Lounges via the back door when not entitled. So why advise people how to get TPs they are not entitled to.
My view would be that perhaps a one off would be ok, for example if you had to cut short a trip so no longer made the 5 nights but the double TPs still turned up most people would not be contacting BA to give them back. But to deliberately plan and book the trip with no intention of picking up the car/using the hotel is wrong.
