I belong to a British Airways Household account. I booked a trip a couple of months ago, so my British Airways Avios won't expire until late 2027. My Iberia Avios will expire early 2025. I am thinking of transferring Iberia Avios to BA Avios. Will this extend the expiration date of the Iberia Avios since it will become BA Avios?

Also, without having to book a flight, hotel, car, what is the cheapest way to keep Iberia Avios from expiring? I tried to buy a tour for 1,400 avios, but "something unexpected" happened all the time.
