I just stayed at the Marriott Boston Copley and was wondering why the on site restaurant was always packed. Then I learned the $30/night destination fee offers a $30/day dining credit.
(I was staying on the Amex Business Card rate, which waives the destination fee at this property.)
I've noticed this as well at the hotels that give food and beverage credit. I mean if you add your welcome $10.00 food and beverage on the first day, you got a good chunk to use. Pizza and beer was the popular choice at the Four Points by Sheraton Fort Walton. Since breakfast is included as a Titanium member, I ended up joining the pizza and beer crowd.
