With AS EQM earn changes for 2025 I think my days of having to top up with mileage runs has ended. I estimate that with credit card spend EQM, taking a paid business seat to Asia at 2.5X EQM and maybe 5 SFO to HNL round trips in a year will get me to 100K. I bought a roundtrip SFO to SIN on Qatar via DOH on AS website using AS wallet funded with 10% discounted AS gift cards purchased at Costco. With 2.5X EQM I'll net 59720 EQM for about .098 per EQM. It may be double the cost of a good mileage run EQM, but allows me to enjoy a nice vacation (using points for hotel) and less stress and leisurely travel through the year. Plus with the 10/20K rollover for 2026, it gets even more easier to gain 100K.
