From what I gathered on my Honu flights talking with managing stewardesses the flights revenue are made from First and Business Class. They said First is almost always fully booked. Business Class fills in really well also. It is the upper deck that pays for the flights they said.
Even the lower deck passenger load is very sparse or hardly full, the flights are still profitable.
I will take the second flight each way NRT-HNL-NRT this time see how it is on the jetlag. Looking forward to my 7th and 8th flights on Flying Honu.
I have no idea what prices Hawaiian Airlines are charging on their NRT-HNL-NRT flights. They are probably a lot cheaper than ANA.
It seems that it takes a whole lot of United FF miles to just fly one Honu sector in Economy.
I can hardly wait to be on board again.
I want to celebrate my 9th and 10th flights in 2025 climbing Mt Fuji all the way up to the crater watching the sunrise from the highest point.
