But the Gift of Gold Status is different for whatever the reason, I haven't selected my 175k reward either but when I click on the Gold status it shows the same thing, that it must be "redeemed" by Jan. 4, 2025, see below.

I say "redeemed" because AFAIK you just need to select that as your reward choice by Jan. 4, you do not have to actually delegate the status to someone by that date.

So the OP should be able to redeem their choice by Jan. 3 or 4 or whatever, then just go back in March once their recipient's Gold status has expired and delegate the new gift status to them then.
