As someone who abhors carry-on and wishes they were banned throughout. this is a good start. Fingers crossed they move it up to all fares soon, including all status levels and credit card holders.

That being said, this will be a mess to enforce and lead to late departures, aggressive passenger encounters and media stories about evil airlines not letting some kid bring on their spiderman suitcase. I’m flying a leisure route next month. I can hear the outrage at the gate already.
