Let me add one thought:
Taxi is a little cheaper then Uber in Dubai. But you can use the Uber app right now from home, as you can manually set your location and target location, so you can see prices and decide.

The only (cheap) metro line available is only accessible from the GH. The HC - while having the much more nice beach location and walkable surrounding shops and restaurants - does not have access to the metro. You are dependent on taxi/Uber there. A drive to the city center should be 15-20usd one-way, to the palm should be 35-50usd one-way.
