As an SE who has flown basic once in the last 3 years I’m not mad at this change and will be happy to hopefully see it become easier to have bin space. My main concern is the inevitable drama and arguments that will happen at the gate and the more difficult job the gate agents will have to do, at least for the next little while. I definitely do not envy their position dealing with an assured increase in Karens.
