Do we really have to check every hotel one by one in places like Cancun (25+ properties) because while you can look at the hotel's award calendars, that doesn't give you availability? And what's up with the calendars showing rates for the Christmas period, but the message when you put your dates in is "This hotel is not accepting points during this period" -- why is it showing specific rates in the calendar then, why doesn't it say "no points"?
And separate but related question as I get to hotel number 19, am I going too far by expecting I'll find two room on points somewhere in Cancun for Dec 26- Jan 2 with 3 days of flexibility each side?
Not sure this really needed it’s own thread. There’s a few websites dedicated to showing points availability I’d say utilize them.
