Then I will get another $300 in travel credits starting March 29. Seems like a double-dip for 2024/25 but I will believe it when I see it. The change in timing - while silly from my perspective - is not meaningful as I put $$$$ on travel expenses on this card over the course of any 12-month period and my AF renews in Sept.
I copy/paste message here:
The timing of your travel credit is changing
Thank you for continuing to be a valued J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmember. We hope that you are enjoying all of the exclusive benefits of your J.P. Morgan Reserve card, including the $300 Annual Travel Credit.*
We would like to inform you that starting in 2025, we will be adjusting the timing of when your travel credit resets. What to expect:
- In December 2024, your $300 annual travel credit will reset, and you will begin to receive statement credits for travel purchases.
- On December 30, 2024, any unused portion of your $300 credit will be applied to your account as a statement credit.
- Beginning in 2025, your $300 travel credit will reset annually during March 29, rather than at the end of the year.
- All other rewards program terms will continue to apply.
You will begin earning points on travel after you have spent the first $300 in travel purchases.
Ya, mine says:
• In December 2024, your $300 annual travel credit will reset, and you will begin to receive statement credits for travel purchases.
• On December 30, 2024, any unused portion of your $300 credit will be applied to your account as a statement credit.
• Beginning in 2025, your $300 travel credit will reset annually during January 29, rather than at the end of the year.
• All other rewards program terms will continue to apply.
So I'll get $300 by 12/30 (whether by travel credit or statement credit) and then another $300 on or after 1/29/25. Pretty nice.
