It's in a way sad that everyone sinks to the bottom with these changes. It doesn't impact me as I almost never buy basic and can still check a bag as a status member and even bring the 2 pcs of carryon. I wish travel were more civilized. The one benefit for those with status and non-basic fare buyers will be way more bin space. Westjet's bins are sometimes almost empty!
