Becoming more common with more hotels over the years. Some hotels have been doing it for a long time though. I stayed here recently on points and it opened a couple of weeks out and I moved the stay from the centric just to give it a spin, as I had never stayed there. Wasn't blown away. It was fine. First room I had reeked of cigarette smoke, manager had to go check in after I told her as if I was making it up and then they just moved me to the same non upgraded room type but gave me a little fruit bowl as an apology. Breakfast was good but nothing incredible. Location fine but not my favorite by a mile.
