You still get the benefit of earning MQD via spend, which is important to many. It’s obviously not important if you are earning a desired status level organically with flying, but those that aren’t (and the Reserve card has always been used by a lot of people to help them get up to the next level of status) still benefit
Note that per above, I'm probably going to blast through to Diamond on corporate spend alone, so the personal card becomes redundant (as spend-wise it is somewhat weaker).
