typing this as waiting to line up for the KQ CAN-BKK.
A few things:
- MF is a joke. They cancelled my HKG-HGH, could not offer me anything to change, as I have stated before, so I had to buy a new SZX-HGH. The eligible fare class is almost as expensive as I in business, so I got business class. 5 days after I bought it, they downgraded the flight and it no longer has any business class, as the new 738 is all Y configuration. They just called my Chinese phone twice within the span of 20 minutes and gave up notifying me. They did not send any notification in wechat through which I bought the ticket in its mini program. I showed up to SZX to find out I have not only lost my seat, I am not even booked on the flight. They did not downgrade me, they removed me from the flight. So after a harrowing 40 minutes trying to get me rebooked, they put me onto the exact same flight in bulkhead, but because the agent physically just moved me to Y class, it was another 50 minutes to get everything settled because the premium check in desk confidently said I had to enter "EBG12345678" while I insisted "EBB12345678". Agent had to return 3 times to get me the correct FFP. And we had to call over a supervisor and ask him how to know which booking class it gets me into, and if I request a compensation, which will compensate me the difference in fare with the lowest class available at the time of booking, it will not downgrade me to that class, which is E. This took another 20 minutes. It was wild how many people were at the table looking at my situation. One thing to note is that despite how complicated and horrible MF's LCC-like behavior is, everyone was EXTREMELY patient and nice with my dozens of requests for confirmation. However, I cannot imagine how difficult it would be if I do not speak fluent Mandarin.
Additionally, due to being downgraded, I requested to get a voucher for the lounge as I arrived quite early and extremely exhausted from early morning CI TPE-HKG, then ferry to Shekou port, then 2km of walk and 1hr standing in Shenzhen Metro. The voucher literally says "Mr. Huang from Xiamen air allows it."

And the flight was delayed by 1hr due to the horrendous traffic situation in China, of course. So I was shocked to see it crediting after 3 days today, as Y class.
-I was leaving from ICN earlier today in the morning, and was very amused to see the huge amount of police present everywhere. But it is very normal otherwise.
-CI has not credited after 4 days. MU credited after 3 days. Will update later. Hope my bad luck ends.
-Now boarding KQ. I was #132 on the sequence and the agent told me so far there was 32 people with SK number. You guys go figure the number out.
