If US/Canada - China capacity is still constrained by political issues, then yes definetely CX will see North America as first priority in terms of network planning. Newark, Seattle, or even Houston, Washington DC IAD, and Las Vegas will be on the waitlist.
Why LAS?
I think loads were pretty disastrous when they ran IAD. My flights were about 50% load in J. So selfishly wanting it to return, I am not sure how realistic that one is.
