TL;DR
Seamless process. Well managed.
Beautiful building. Main lounge bigger than what I expected. Decor IMHO great. Toilets clean!
Very quiet: alone in the terminal for 50% of our outbound (a couple came in on an inbound), and on our inbound there was a couple in there throughout.
Excellent food. I'm a picky eater and there was enough for me to enjoy. OH rated the food.
Absolutely loved the experience. The sum is greater than all of the parts. Boarded the plane feeling zen.
Drop off to the gate (this was for TK not BA) was better than expected. Driven to closest door, staff took hand luggage and walked us to gate. Staff spoke to TK staffer, we boarded, BUT I think the timing happened to be just right. Biz had just boarded, Economy had not yet, no queue at gate. Still have questions over what it would be like for a BA flight.
Great views over the taxiways. Loved that part of it. Drive to the main terminal was quick, but did see some planes from the ground.
Staff were great. Friendly, but not OTT. And lots of them. I would guess 8 different people involved in the outbound.
Worth it? I am a miser, I despise spending sums like £600, but it's well-staffed, lots of moving parts, food was decent, I can see where my money went. What price for a calm and peaceful mind?
