The only advantege of BW-s : usualy they are cheaper, than big chain hotels, they provide free wi-fi, and in many cases free breakfast. Other thing: they are available in smaller places, where big chains do not have hotels. For us BW is 8/10 - we get 'royal' treatment in all of our frequently visited BW hotels.

You said "your status does not matter" but you seem to have overlooked the fact that Elites do get bonus points with every stay. The bonus is: Gold 10%, Platinum 15%, Diamond 30%, Diamond Select 50%.
