Goldorak just stated, linking PNR achieves nothing. It is just a note in the PNRs that you have two separate tickets. You can make the same case at the airport yourself.
It is uncertain whether JFK AF will be willing to check you on your ticket JFK-CDG given that you have no right to enter France. It is not only the bags, but even the pax that are at risk of denied boarding.
Hopefully checking bags all the way to PEK will reassure AF that you are a bona fide transit pax.
