Just back from a JFK hop and we had E and F. You are angled towards each other and have a slightly natural line of sight, but of course the sliding aperture between the two seats is small. I felt that we were flying together but also were not chatting that much becuase of the distance.

I was debating doing across the aisle, but I checked out of interest and it would have been a neck twister to do that!
