Interesting to understand why BA doesn't sell these on to other operators in Africa, South America who historically have taken such aircraft and run them. Presume its because BA run them until their next big maintenance event and the capital costs of the next big exam are sufficently high to deter any potential purchasers. The process is bit like an execution - one moment the aircraft is carrying fare paying passengers, the next it is sat in a scrap yard with no interim staging,
Maybe they make more by selling the needed parts? 🤔
