Do I think it would be profitable *enough* for a national staffing company to take some risk that there might be some slow nights? Probably not and I think that's the problem. Using last night as an example, it's probably safe to assume many of those travelers are business travelers. If delayed, they could justify expensing a small meal and probably even a beer or two. Either way, I can't speak for everyone but the business travelers I know would MUCH rather sit at a restaurant with ESPN on than sit for four hours at the gate reading a book and eating a protein bar waiting for their flight to Aberdeen.
