So the route I am taking has 2 layovers, one in Peru and the other one at LAX. The flights from Argentina to Peru, and from Peru to LAX are operated by LATAM airlines. I booked the flight through a 3rd party but it seems like the trip is managed by LATAM. When I enter the LATAM airlines website, I can choose my seats for both of the flights operated by them, however it says I should contact Korean Air in order to be able to choose my seat for the LAX-Korea flight operated by Korean Air.

I got in touch with Korean Air, and they told me that since the flight was booked through LATAM, and its a codeshare flight, its LATAM who should select a seat for that flight.

I then contacted LATAM, and they said they cannot access to the seat map, so its Korean Airs duty to select my seat.

Basically, both airlines say its the others responsibility, and so far I have not been able to select a seat for that flight.

I am quite concerned because I am traveling solo, and as someone who has anxiety and needs to stand up to go to the bathroom very often ( :/ ), I really (desperately) need an aisle seat. I have checked the seat map through the website šexpert flyerš and there are almost no aisle seats left...

I really do not know what else I can do, I have offered both airlines to pay for the seat, but still neither of them would help me. I know if i wait till the day of the flight I will be given a seat at the airport, but that flight is almost 14 hours long, and I dont think Id be able to go through it peacefully without an aisle seat...

If anyone has experienced this, or just knows how to select a seat on a codeshare flight, please help me out!!
