Remember you can earn tier points on EI now also so could look into them. Can get biz return on some dates in January for ~£3k LHR-DUB-SFO. It might not fit your budget still or get you the points or maybe BA legs you need but good to keep in mind.
Just a health warning on this, I'm not sure what the LHR<->DUB legs would book into, might only be an economy on paper at 20 TPs each way but will act like the business lite (aerspace) fare on the ground.
BA did offer some EI options, too, so I’m keeping those in mind as well now. I’ll have to do a deep dive into the options at my leisure. It’s never just so!
