Remember you can earn tier points on EI now also so could look into them. Can get biz return on some dates in January for ~£3k LHR-DUB-SFO. It might not fit your budget still or get you the points or maybe BA legs you need but good to keep in mind.

Just a health warning on this, I'm not sure what the LHR<->DUB legs would book into, might only be an economy on paper at 20 TPs each way but will act like the business lite (aerspace) fare on the ground.
